VS.net 2003 MSSCCI 2003 error

Help,

After pulling down a solution from Team Foundation Server into VS.Net
2003 using the MSSCCI provider:

I then can check in and out the files just fine until I close VS.Net
2003. Then when I try to check out a file once I've restarted Visual
studio, it says that:

Microsoft Development Environment
---------------------------
Item is not controlled
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Yet it shows that the file is locked. I can go into 2005 and check the
file in and out, and then work on the file in 2003 (business
requirement) but I can no longer check out from 2003.

Is it that closing 2003 and restarting it the problem or what? Please
help.
