Visual Studio.Net 2003 freezes

Hi,

I encountered a problem yesterday that I can't figure out.

Visual Studio.Net 2003 freezes when I open a website I created. But the
funny thing is, when I go in IIS and remove the application (make it a
regular folder) then all is fine (except that I can't run the app now).

then when I go back in IIS and "create" an application then Visual
Studio wont let me load it once again.

I have the very same website on another PC (at home) and i can load it
fine. As a matter of fact, I could load it here at work just as easily
until yesterday.

At work, VS.Net runs under a VMWare Win2K PC and at home it's a regular
WinXP pc.

I can create a new project and debug just fine.

As much as possible I'd like to avoid just re-installing .net or IIS,
I'd rather just find out why its doing that and how i can prevent it
the next time ?

anyone ever encountered that ?

.
