RE: MSBuild generates different files than Visual Studio 2005 ?

Hi Josh,

Based on my understanding, the problem is when you use the MSBuild to build
a C++/C# mixed solution, some referenced assemblies would not be copied to
local, but the solution builds OK inside VS2005 IDE.

I perform some research and found a similar issue in our database, that
problem is caused by a bug of VC++ build engine. I suggest you can refer
it in the following links:

Problem building Managed C++ project with Msbuild that has multiple
assembly references
http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=244850&SiteID=1

We already have a fix for this bug. The fix will be contained in the
upcoming VS2005 SP1.

If it is not your case, would you please provide a stand-alone
solution(zipped) to us for research, you can send it to me directly.(Please
remove the "online" of my email address alias.)

Thanks!

Best regards,

Gary Chang
