Hi Steven,
This might because you have selected the checkout automatically option for
source control. You can disable this with the following steps.
1. Select Tools/Options from the main menu.
2. Select Source Control/Environment from the left tree.
3. Uncheck the Keep items checked out when checking in option.
If this does not help, does the items automatically checked out when you
check them in?
