Hi,
is it correct that during installation of VS.NET 2003 SP1 only a Windows
Installer message box is visible with the text: "Please wait..." and no
other
dialog appears?
Very strange. I cannot see that the installation was successful.
after setup of SP1 finished I have a new entry in the installed products
list of VS.Net 2003's about dialog:
"Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 Service Pack 1 (KB918007) "
That might help to identify if the SP was installed correctly.
Regards,
SvenC
Is this really the regular behavior?
"Please wait..." took several minutes on my machine. I guess it is
extracting setup files. Then it asked me if I want to install SP1, then it
wanted access to the original installation media and then it showed that
it configures VS .NET with "Time remaining: 256 minutes".
At least the first 200 minutes passed in 5 minutes ;)
If those dialogs did not appear you might want to check the eventlog for
any installation issues.
Bye,
SvenC
Klaus
