I have the exact same problem -- if you come up with a solution, please let
me know.
Just curious, do you have a web services in the web project/solution?

All:
We have a situation where a c# web project takes a very long time to run a
web project (minutes).
the developer having the problem has a very powerful machine, however
there is some kind of a delay when he attempts to build and run a web
project.
1. Hit F-5 to build and run the project in the debugger.
2. The build seems to complete, and IDE reconfigures itself for debugging
(the debugging windows appear in the ide -- call stack, watches,
breakpoints, etc)
3. Very long delay, (no IE window yet).
4. After about 2 minutes, either IE will show up and debugging begins, or
he gets a timeout and is unable to debug.
This might be a 64-bit problem. The developer having the problem has a
brand new machine running 64-bit Windows XP. Another developer with a
slightly slower machine, running 32-bit XP has no problems running and
debugging the same project.
