Wow , I can't believe it! I found another post with my exact problem at the top of the list.

I identify with that problem completely. I am trying to create new configurations with some defined preprocessors and I get the same thing.

Selecting the release from the toolbar drop down actually selects the debug, etc...

Also when created a new configuration from the toolbar dropdown it doesn't show up when I got to PROJECT - PROPERTIES - CONFIGURATION MANAGER button.

It is totally screwed up now and its slowing me down terribly.

I hope someone is able to post a fix or something soon.
