Guys,
I am new to Visual Studio.NET 2003, and I am starting a new project. I have
everything installed and ready to go.
The project is located on a remote FTP server. The project was started by
another team, so a lot of it is already done.
My question is:
HOW do I connect to my FTP server and have the project files show up in my
list of site files? I have tried everything. How do I just connect? I've
tried creating a new project on the server, but it won't let me create on the
remote server. It will, however, let me create a new project on my
localhost. It seems like this should be SO simple. All I need to do is
connect to the project files already on the server so I can start everything.
Maybe I'm entering the domain/host incorrectly in VS. Or, maybe I need to
set up a VPN?
I've even tried "Open File From Web", and browse to my FTP server. But then
when I try to open a file I always get an error: "UNSPECIFIED ERROR".
I would appreciate any help, Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!
Erik
