Del,
When you add to the exceptions list in Windows firewall
that means these programms can have access to
inbound/outbound connections. Just Enable IIS to work.
Other thing is:
Please expand the Local Users and Groups category, then
click on the Groups. You'll see there the following
GROUPS:
- VS Developers
- Debugger Users
Please read carefully the following:
VS Developers --> Add your account with which you login.
This will enable you to author web
pages in your system.
Debugger Users --> Add your account, ASPNET, NTAUTHORITY
\SYSTEM
After doing this please logoff and login again.
Another possible problem is:
Windows firewall allows to firewall also your lan, dialup
connection. If you enabled the firewall for this
connection even if you allowed traffic toward IIS and VS
NET and did all the user rights assignments it will still
not work. You understand isn't? You just open a door in
the Windows firewall, but you still keep it closed for
the LAN or dialup connection.
Please add in that firewall of your lan also these
exceptions, or purely disable it because you already are
shielded by the Windows firewall, the connection doesn't
need this.
Please do this and let me know if it's working.
With best regards,
Alex
