Thanks for your timely reply. Symptomatic of my problem, I tried the
reference you gave me. It is for C# and not C++, but I went ahead anyhow.
After I had downloaded it, I got it to compile correctly right away, but then
when I tried to run it I got a message that said something like "A project
with an Output Type of Class library can not be started directly". I don't
know where to go from here and this type of thing often happens when I locate
a sample of code I am interested in - its not 2002 C++ and it doesn't work.
