Hi Aleksandr,
I don't think there is going to be an elegant solution to this problem but here are some things to try.
Uninstall Visual Studio 2003
Uninstall SQL Server Enterprise Manager if it is installed.
Delete the following directories
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Visual Database Tools>
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003>
Delete the Following hives from the registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1
\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\7.1
Also search the registry for the following files and delete any keys that reference them.
MSVCP71.DLL
MSVCR71.DLL
VDT70.DLL
VDT70G.DLL
Another approach to cleaning up the registry would be to use something like RegClean or RegScrub to clean up the registry. I have to warn you tools that mess with registry can be hazardous to your
machine and may result in your machine being hosed.
Other things that would be interesting to know are other MS products do you have installed or have been installed?
