Hi,
Thanks for your feedback.
The simplest way of doing this is opening your project property page and
changing the "Output Type" to "Console Application" in the "Application"
tabpage. This will leave the console window open with your .Net Winform
GUI.
If you only want to dynamically create a console window at runtime and
close it as well, you may p/invoke Win32 console API like this:
public class Win32
{
[DllImport("kernel32.dll")]
public static extern Boolean AllocConsole();
[DllImport("kernel32.dll")]
public static extern Boolean FreeConsole();
}
private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Win32.AllocConsole();
Console.WriteLine("abc");
}
private void button2_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Win32.FreeConsole();
}
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Jeffrey Tan

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
