Hi Leslie,
Thanks for your feedback!
Yes, I agree that turnning off all the healthmonitoring is not a good idea.
Alternately, you may also try to find out that webevent source in the
c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\web.config file, and
remove the corresponding webevent. This will turn off this single webevent
while leaving others remain.
Regarding Server.ClearError() approach, yes, I think it is an interesting
workaround. Since it clears the current exception, the webevent recording
code will not detect the exception any more, so no eventlog is written.
Thank you for sharing with us :-)
If you need further help, please feel free to post. Thanks.
Best regards,
Jeffrey Tan

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
