this is probably beacuse u did not read the original post.

btw, this problem is not just restricted to firefox; other users have said
that winamp, and other apps hang on them. since i only use my laptop for work
only, i cited only firefox. u can read OTHER programs that hang for no good
reasons throughout the thread.

Have you tried Process Explorer?
