distributedCOM frequent errors

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Ok, I am going crazy trying to figure this out. I have contacted
microsoft and HP with no help from them at all! First, i get an update
from microsoft windows update software that failes. What is this? I
looked it up and it seems a lot of people have trouble with this update.
It says to clean up the machine and run again, but I can't seem to find
where I run it again? and I keep getting this distributedCOM error 10016
in my event viewer every min.! It is making me crazy. Is this something
I need to fix and if so how? I called HP and they told me that I don't
need to worry about this, but somehow I don't believe them....Please
help this is my last resort. I do have windows vista sp1 32bit....
