Hello John

It says "NVidia GeForce 9500M GS" (Display Adapter)
Generic PnP Monitor 15:9

32-bit drivers were updated in June
64-bit drivers were updated in May

As for the refresh rate... you're stuck with that on a laptop screen.

We've tried every thing I can think of even to downloading updates and there
is no way I can change the 60Hertz refresh rate. I know it needs a higher
refresh rate to cope with the game graphics. It isn't just one game - it's
several.

I know the Acer site sucks - It's help we want as my hubby suffers from
depression and this is driving him deeper into.

Please, I need to know what to do. I want to know how to change the 60hertz
refresh rate in Vista?

Google "belarc advisor"

Download and run it.

Tell us what it says about your onboard video (Display section).

My hubby has the Acer 6920G laptop and has the problem of the screen freezing
and then flickering during game play on it. Acer have said this is a gaming
machine wich an NVidia graphic card but it's a chip.

How do we get driver updates for the NVidia chip? NVidia says chips cannot
not be updated!

Where did you get that info? On the Nvidia site?

The Acer site SUCKS.

My hubby is threatening the throw the laptop and all games in the bin -
please help us.

Anne
