This means that your laptop isn't getting an IP address through DHCP from
the router.
If the wireless has security set up and you don't satisfy the security
requirements this can happen.
In fact, it's the most likely reason this is happening to you.

Go through the process of "connecting" to the wireless LAN including setting
the security items. Sometimes these get "forgotten" I've seen.

Another, much less likely reason is that all the DHCP addresses have been
assigned.
In this case look to see how many addresses the DHCP settings in the router
allow. If there are too few then maybe they are all assigned - even if the
assigned computers aren't currently connected or turned on or .....
This can be alleviated by doing two things:
1) increase the number of addresses the DHCP will assign
2) decrease the lease time of the DHCP addresses. In a fairly active
network with computers, especially laptops, going in and out all the time it
may be best to set it at 14400 seconds or 4 hours. Then, after 2 hours the
leases will be renewed for the computers that are still there and after 4
hours, if not already renewed, the addresses can be reassigned through a new
lease.
