Re: Vista Ultimate SP1 looses network connection

Yes, it happens when Vista comes out of sleep mode. As far as I can make out
a second network is created "Unknonw Network" which has IP 0.0.0.0 Also the
default gateway appears to have been changed to 0.0.0.0. I sometimes can
disable and enable the network adapter and it reconnects, other times I have
to reboot.

I'm going to try using static IP instead of DCHP and see fit that cures it.
Not a good fix on a LAN but I'm working out of a home office.

Just wondering but does your system go into Sleep mode when you leave
it? I have this problem with four of the dells running Vista Business
and all we ( the dell techs and I) came up with was to go into power
management and turn off sleep.
