We will fix the ping issue first. For troubleshooting, start both computers with clean boot. Can you ping each other now?

I just upgraded both of my computers to Vista Ultimate. One 32 bit and one 64
bit. Both are using NOD32 a/v software. Both are using Comodo Pro Firewall
(free version). Both boxes have a working internet connection through my
Netgear FVG318 Router with the latest firmware. Both boxes have Network
Discovery, File Sharing, Public Folder Sharing, Printer Sharing, Password
Protected Sharing in the ON position.
Turning off NOD 32 and Comodo does not change anything.
The 32 bit box can see and ping itself, the router and the network printer
but cannot see the 64 bit box.
The 64 bit box can see itself, but cannot see or ping the router, printer,
or the 32 bit box.
I cannot even log into the router with the 64 bit box.
I am trying to use the network printer and want to share files between the
two boxes.
I am at a loss at how to proceed.
Can anyone offer some advice?
