Re: Hoping to import VOB file to WMM

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi John, I have tried and tried, but...though I could get SUPER to play the
whole video, I could not save it on my computer. I think I must save it to
the computer in order to import it to the WMM so I can edit the DVD. When I
looked in the OutPut, the file was empty. Thank you for your help.Carol

Hi John, I am looking forward to following your directions tonight! But
please don't go away. Once you get me set on this issue, I will have more.
Thank you so much!Carol

Hi John, I hoped you would write to me. I have seen your wonderful
posts! The file is VOB and I know from your posts that I must change
the VOB. I used handbrake to ?encode? it to something ?M4P? , but I
get a message that codec is not installed. Thanks so much for
helping.
==================================
First...just try renaming the file to VIDEO_TS.MPG
and see if it will import. If the import works...drag
the file to the timeline and Publish it in the .wmv
or .avi format. Then...reimport the new movie clip
for editing purposes.

If that fails...rename the file back to Video_TS.VOB
and try converting the file to .wmv or .avi using the
following free converter:

SUPER © Simplified
Universal Player Encoder & Renderer
http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SUPER
(the mirror download site is faster)

(FWIW...it's always a good practice to create a
System Restore point before installing new software)

After installing SUPER...open the program and
drag/drop your .VOB file into the Active field.

Output Container...choose...wmv.

Video Scale...select...No Change.

Left click the Encode button.

Simple Profile / OK.

(FWIW..I have better luck with video if I do not
try to multi-task while a file is being converted)

When the file is converted...you should find it in...
Program Files / eRightSoft / Super / OutPut.

Good luck...
