If that inludes both video and audio, I may give it a try on my son's machine
while he's at work.
Bon chance

Another interesting quirk. A few minutes ago I found that Photo Gallery
(Vista Home Premium as shipped) played the video from several Quick Time
Movie clips that I'd copied from my hard drive to an SD card for the
purpose
of testing the new MOV coveter software. Coincidentally, I didn't
download
it.

With 33 line items in my laptop's MM6 Compatibility List, this quirk kept
me
busy for hours yesterday as I tracked it down. It's now the 4th 'What Can
go
Wrong' item on my website's Vista > Publish Movies page. Here's how I
wrote
it.
Issue: Sometimes When I mix a Photo Story 3 wmv file in a movie project
with
other clips, everything shows fine in the finished movie except the part
from the story, which is just blackness.
Resolution: This happens on my Vista Home Basic laptop when the audio of
the
story is muted in the MM6 project and the New Soft Audio Encoder Filter
is
listed and checked in the Tools > Options > Compatibility list. If I
uncheck
the filter (or rename it - c:\Program Files\Common
Files\NewSoft\NSM2AEnc.ax) and resave the movie, the story clip shows as
usual. If I unmute the audio of the story and lower the volume to zero to
quiet it, the movie also renders fine with the filter checked.
Although I can consistenly repeat the issue, I'm guessing this is really
a
symptom of a more basic problem that I don't understand. I'm glad I got
this
far with it yesterday. It's another nudge for me to keep routinely
working
with all line items unchecked.
