Verizon mail servers appear to be having a major outage, see

You can either wait it out, use webmail, or call Verizon support.

Suddenly I am being asked to verify that both my username and password are.
correct for my mail server before I can recieve or send email. this is new
and I've not had to do this before. Whats up?
