can't send email

why can't I send email from my gmail to "info@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" a
message comes up " a website wants to open web content using this programme
on your computer"

Then I click ALLOW, I write my email, and try to send it, it then asks for
my name, then my email address, then it says to set up email servers, why
can't I just send email as I normally do to say: example@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or
example@xxxxxxx I've never had any problem sending mail, never had to set
anything
