Good to hear that following my instructions was successful.
You will never have to change those settings again, regardless
of which ISP you use.

Hi Gary,
After this connection provider I'm using now, I don't think I'll be changing
the new one anytime soon, it will be Qwest. Thank you so much for your help,
I followed your instructions and it worked! I don't know if it will work once
I'm using Qwest, but then I'll contact you again for your great help! :)
Best regards from a happy user... MA

Different ISPs have different policies, but most of them block port 25
connections to all SMTP servers but their own. Since you change
your connection provider frequently, you need a different solution:

Here are the steps to take:
1. If you currently don't have a free Gmail account, apply for one here:
http://mail.google.com

2. Enable your Gmail account for POP:
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=13273

3. Use the procedure to allow your custom 'From' address to be used
with Gmail:
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&ctx=mail&answer=22370

4. In Windows Mail go to Tools, Accounts, select your existing mail
account, click Properties, Servers. Change the name of the outgoing (SMTP)
server to smtp.gmail.com. Do not change the incoming server. Also,
make sure that the "My server requires authentication" option is checked.
Click the adjacent "Settings" button. Select "Log on using"
then enter your username@xxxxxxxxx email address, and the associated
password. Click OK.

5. Go to the Advanced tab and change the port number for the
outgoing (SMTP) server from 25 to 465, and enable the associated
SSL option. Again, do not change any receiving parameters.
Click OK. Try sending.

Gary,
thank you for your help. I'm not web literate and don't know where to change
the ISP as to not to reflect corralvictoria.cl. For a while after installing
it, my windows mail worked. I'm visiting relatives and they have a different
ISP. I had Comcast before, they have Cox. Could that be the problem? Next
week I will have Qwest, I hope that server will not be a problem and if so,
how do I fix it?
Thank you very much.
MAR.

Corralvictoria.cl is not your ISP. As such, your home ISP will block
your use of any port 25 SMTP server other than their own.
For an explanation of this anti-spamming policy, see
http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx

To send from home, you will have to substitute your home ISP's
SMTP server. If you need help with that, let us know who your
home ISP is.

A month ago I could send emails out of my Windows Mail account, now I can't.
I can only receive mails. I've tried dissabling my antivirus, lowering
internet protection and nothing. This is the error message I get.

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test', Account: 'Vina
Corral Victoria', Server: 'mail.corralvictoria.cl', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10051, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME? This is driving me crazy.
