i can export messages, but it is slow and says they have no

they seem to be incomplete. how do i fully save my messages, then
easily
re-load them after a crash (or inhto another computer)?

I did it this way. I just found the folders which contained all my
saved messages, contacts etc. and copied/pasted to a separate drive.
I did it this way before upgrading to Win 7 because I knew that Win
Mail wasn't supported. I installed Opera 10 and it's built in email
client found the folders and imported them in a couple of clicks.
If you want to use them with a Vista machine, just reverse the process.
