Thanks for reporting back. Antivirus email scanning is often
the reason why large attachments fail to send.

Hi Gary,.
I thought I had better update you - I have looked at some of your other
recent replies re anti-virus and hopefully have worked through to a
solution.
Thank you for your time and your help.
I had previously set the Norton antivirus NOT to scan outgoing emails, and
had not thought to re-check this. Damn!. It had some how set itself up to
scan outgoing emails, again. Was that when I installed the Apple program,
which meant Norton somehow had to reconfigure itself?
anyway, I have now been able to easily email the pictures I wanted to send.
Hoping this is the end of my problem!

I have been trying -unsuccessfully - to send emails with just one
attachment - these are between 3 and 3.5 Mb.
The last email I tried had 5 zipped attachments, totalling 13.87 Mb.
the error message said

for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'some pics ', Account: 'mail.bigpond.com (1)', Server:

At 5.48 pm, I did manage to email a pictureb (not zipped), from Pictures,
with Windows, using the right click "send to". This was 148 Kb. However,
I
now cannot send from this source.
I'm using Norton Antivirus . I see that today, 13 times it has" blocked
unauthorised access (Open Process Token)" -from Program
files\google\google
updater/google updater.exec.

How large is the attachment? Which antivirus are you using?
Do you get an error message when you try to send? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

Using Windows Mail I've always been able to email photos, and also
compressed folders. This morning I have been unable to send emails with
pictures attached to them. They remain in the outbox and block other
outgoing mail. I can send an email with no attachment.
I don't know if loading Apple Quicktime has caused my mailing
problem.This
morning I also downloaded Apple Quicktime. I needed this program in order
to
view movies taken with a Panasonic Lumix camera. The digital JPGs that I
upload to computer can be viewed with Windows Photo Gallery, but the
movies
can't.
Help. I want to look at the movies I have taken with my camera, and share
them.
I want to share my photos as well, via email.
thanks
