Re: Sending email

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

The first error is a send error.
The sending port needs to be 465 instead of 25.

The second error is a receive error.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."

I have yahoo as my email provider. I have been through the help menu several
times and I keep getting an error. it won't accept my username and password
for my yahoo mail which I have verified and know are correct. Here are a few
of the errors I keep getting:

Subject 'Petfinder.com Pet Inquiry: Connie ', Account: 'Yahoo', Server:
'plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '250 8BITMIME',
Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 250, Error Number: 0x800CCC7D
Account: 'Yahoo', Server: 'plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR popgate unknown command', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18
Please be kind, I know very little about computers and I've tried very hard
to solve this problem myself, but I need help. Thanks
