it is a bt yahoo account in the uk. paid for bt broadband so yes i guess.
went onto yahoo mail to view emails. windows mail cannot download emails
anymore from this server. error message for windows mail reads:
The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'J TOLLEY - BT Yahoo!
Mail', Server: 'mail.btinternet.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL):
Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
however on windows live mail i keep receiving same emails going back several
days. error message from live mail reads:
Unable to send or receive messages for the J TOLLEY - BT Yahoo! Mail
account. Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible
causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period
of inactivity.
Server: 'mail.btinternet.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
is this helpful? thanks for your attention.

Is that a paid Yahoo account?.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

to begin with i could not receive emails to windows mail but i managed to
view them via yahoo. got error code 0x800CC0F. i looked up possible problems
and downloaded live mail. now the opposite is happening and i keep receiving
the same emails over and over again. error code now is 0x800CCC19. i have avg
antivirus and have turned off email scanner without any effect. is this an
issue with the server? can i do anything else to stop these emails?
any advice greatly appreciated
