Re: error message when trying todelete messages



Sounds like your mailbox on the server is overly full. Log in via webmail
and delete messages from there.

I am getting the same error number message but the box says "message creation
failed, mailbox is full. I can not delete these messages. I am so tired of
errors in windows mail.

I just bought a new Gateway running Vista. In the left pane of Mail there
is the 'Local Folders' and below that is imap.telus.net. They both contain
all the same folders, including Deleted Items.

When I clicked Tools, Synchronize All I got the following error message:
Header download for the 'Deleted Items' folder did not complete. Could not
select 'Deleted Items' on the IMAP server. You might try refreshing your
folder list to synchronize with the IMAP server. Account: 'imap.telus.net',
Server: 'imap.telus.net', Protocol: IMAP, Server Response: 'The specified
mailbox does not exist', Port: 143, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCCD2
