That server probably does not support SSL.
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that account, Properties, Advanced,
then uncheck the SSL option.

I have a netlandchile mail which always worked fine in my computer
with
XP. Now on this laptop with Vista I cannot send out any mail through
this address. The message I get is

Asunto 'desde netland', Cuenta: ''ocdpuang@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx''
(ocdpuang@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx), Servidor: 'smtp.gtdinternet.com',
Protocolo: SMTP, Respuesta del servidor: '250 8BITMIME', Puerto: 25,
Seguridad (SSL): Sí, Error de servidor: 250, Número de error:
0x800CCC7D
I'll be grateful for any help. Thank you.

I have followed your suggestions, but the problem remains. I changed
authentication settings and I also unchecked SSL options. No variation,
mail still does not get sent. Thank you.
