Debra Lussier,
Here are the setting I use for both AOL/AIM IMAP/POP3 Mail, while connected to
Comcast:
POP3 Settings for AOL Mail:
Incoming Server:
pop.aol.com Port: 110
Outgoing Mail Server:
smtp.aol.com Port: 587
POP3 Settings for AIM Mail:
Incoming Server:
pop.aim.com Port: 110
Outgoing Mail Server:
smtp.aim.com Port: 587
Remember POP3 Server will only retrieve mail in the INBOX folder, not any user
created folders. Also you will need to either have VistaMail set to leave
messages on Server, if you still want to view them through AOL/AIM web mail
interface, or set the account up as an IMAP acct.
IMAP Settings for AOL Mail:
Incoming Server:
imap.aol.com Port: 143
Outgoing Mail Server:
smtp.aim.com Port: 587
IMAP Settings for AIM Mail:
Incoming Server:
imap.aim.com Port: 143
Outgoing Mail Server:
smtp.aim.com Port: 587
Using IMAP will show the additional folders, and the messages that they contain,
of your AOL/AIM mail account, other than just the INBOX folder.

I was trying to set up windows mail for the first time, al was going well
then I got the following message,
Host IMAP cold not be found, please verify that you have entered the
server
name correctly.
Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non - network
errors. This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.
What do I need to do to rectify this? this is all new to me, thanks
.
