WM will not let you set up any HTTP type account.
Do the following to trick it.

Here is the trick needed, to set up the Hotmail, Live, msn etc account in
WM.

Start with a new account setup and use username@xxxxxxx
Setup the account with the correct server, port and SSL settings, (below),
save
it, ignore errors, then go back and enter the correct email address
and username@xxxxxxxxxxx or msn.com or live.com

Try the following settings for Hotmail or Live or msn.com accounts?


POP server: pop3.live.com (Port 995)
POP SSL required? Yes
User name: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@xxxxxxxxxxx
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows
Live
SMTP server: smtp.live.com (Port 25 or 587)
Authentication required? Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
TLS/SSL required? Yes
