See this link from my website on how to setup an email account: http://vistasupport.mvps.org/adding_an_email_account_to_windows_mail.htm
If you are having problems with POP and SMTP then take a look at your email provider's help page. It should tell you there what to put in the POP and SMTP boxes.

Try as I may I can not set up Windows mail. I have the account set up but
can not receive or send mail. I am using Windows Vista. I am not very
computer literate so if any one can help please use terms I can understand.
Any help will be much appreciated.
