If you use Verizon at work, but not at home, then you can't use Verizon's email server at home.
You can use the server of your ISP at home for the outgoing (smtp).

I have no problems receiving and sending mail while connected to my
office's wireless network. However, when I bring the laptop home (to
work from home), connect to my home network, I am able to receive email
in Windows mail but not send. I'm baffled. Hoping you all can help.
The following is the error message I receive:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'trail', Account:
'Business', Server: 'outgoing.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port:25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CC0E
No settings have been altered between it working properly on my
office's network to my home network. At home we have a Linksys
Wireless-G router.
Any help would be greatly apprecited.
Thanks in advance!:)
