Can send but NOT receive - settings correct

Hi all.
Hoping somebody can help me here.
Ive set up Windows mail and it would send emails to my yahoo account
but I could not send them back.
I contacted my host and spoken to them about it. They checked it out,
said it was working from their end and all evantualities with my problem
where then exhausted.
Im still left with a email that will send but not receive. The settings
have been checked and are all defeinately correct. I even downloaded
Mozilla Thunderbird just to try it on there but it did exactly the same
thing.
Can anybody help as I desperately need this account up and running and
have run out of ideas.
