You are the Outlook sender as well as the recipient with the problem?

Did you confirm whether or not the source code of the received message
mentions a 'winmail.dat' file?

i changed the settings and the e-mail will still come in without the attachment

i am not receivig PDF files that i know are being sent. the e-mail comes in
