Re: Can receive but not send emails

You didn't answer my question as to who was providing your Internet connection
at the time you got that error message.

Use the following procedure to check for port 25 blocking:
http://kb.mediatemple.net/questions/888/Checking+your+outgoing+mail+server+(Is+Port+25+blocked%3F)

If there is no port 25 blocking, then your McAfee is likely at fault.

Hi Gary,
I'm using McAfee Antivirus and I have disabled all the prodection for the
email and network.
I got this error while the mail was failed to send out. I have checked all
the prosiblilities of all the password and username.

Again, how do i check "port 25 blocking" thru "network diagnostic" as i used
Windows Vista Premium SP1 32 Bit.

Thank you

When you got that error message was your Internet connection being
obtained through Singnet?

If yes, which antivirus are you running?

Do you get a similar error message when attempting to send via mail.auleetech.com?
That is understandable because they are not your Internet provider. As a general
rule, the owner of the SMTP server must be the same as the one providing your
Internet connection at that moment. For more on this, see

Hi Gary, mant thanks.
I have check with singnet and password and username are both valid. Please
find my error message because I can used either "mail.auleetech.com" or "
mail.singnet.com.sg" for outgoing mail.
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'eee', Account:
'mail.auleetech.com', Server: 'mail.singnet.com.sg', Protocol: SMTP, Port:
25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Thank you
Eric

Are you sure you have the correct server name? According to
http://www.singnet.com.sg/technical/email/index.htm
it should be mail.singnet.com.sg.

If there is an accumulation of messages in the Outbox folder, open
the Outbox folder. Move as many of those messages as you can to

apply this Microsoft fix:

Which antivirus did you uninstall? Some require a special debris removal tool.

This has started within the last few weeks. I contacted att and I have
everthing set up correctly. They thought it could be my antivirus software.
I actually uninstalled the software.... and I still can not send. I didn't
do any updates or change anything - just one day it worked and the next day
it didn't. As I stated - I receive them just fine but I can't send any.
They sit in my outbox and I get no error messages. Please help - any
suggestions?

Thanks
