I've tried not putting "files" on it and just typiing dbx . If I put "files"
on it then it just searches forever and I have to do "crtl-alt-del" to stop
it but if I just type dbx then it immediately comes back with "not found".

Dave, I've gone to "start' and search" and typed in ".dbx files" but the
computer doesn't find anything? What am I doing wrong?
