Re: Problems sending emails with Yahoo

Who gave you those Yahoo Mail settings?
Yahoo has several different categories of email accounts, so you have
to be careful to get the right set of settings for your category.
Was yours obtained through your ISP or is it a personal account?
Is it a free account or a paid account?
US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP
access. Windows Mail does not handle Yahoo webmail.
There are three possible solutions:

1. How did you access Yahoo mail before? If you are happy with
webmail via your browser, you can continue to use that.

2. Pay Yahoo to get their premium "Mail Plus" service:

and use the special settings for that service:

3. Another option is called YPOPs. It is free, but requires some technical
knowledge to implement:

I am getting so frustarted with this!
I have all of the settings set up to receive Yahoo Mail via Microsoft
Outlook, but I cannot send emails. In the advanced tab I have the outgoing
mail SMTP at 465 and it is checked for SSL as is incoming with POP3 set to
110. This is exactly what Yahoo recommends on their troubleshooting.
When I am trying to send an email it keeps asking me for my user name and
password which I am entering correctly and it keeps popping up. I have
competley uninstalled the free Norton VC which came with the laptop and have
disabled the email checker on my current VC which is AVG. I just can't think
of what to do! Any help would be great.
