not possible because Windows Mail starts with "inbox" which has no "view
heading"

Hi John Wallace,
What happened to you is you somehow got "show folders column" turned
off by
some manipulation of keys that was unknow to you. It also happened to
me.
Here is how you fix it
1. Open the mail program
2. Open the view heading
3 select Layout
4. under this heading you will see the first box is the "Folder list"
box
5. put a check mark in the box by clicking in the box, then say ok
and close
out the window... and walla presto your folder column will be back
permanently.

happy computing... this area is really neat... i have got several
questions
answered here

.
