Re: can't send email

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

There's something flaky about the mailbox for that recipient (pypdm@xxxxxxxxxxx).
I tested it and got the same error message. Do you get a similar error message
when sending to other recipients? If not, it is strictly a problem with the recipient's
mailbox. If the problem happens with many or all recipients, then we need to
look into it a little deeper.

Oops, sorry Gary

Below is the whole error message,

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was 'pypdm@xxxxxxxxxxx'. Subject 'Women',
Account: 'mail.aapt.net.au', Server: 'mail.aapt.net.au', Protocol: SMTP,
Server Response: '550 5.1.1 <pypdm@xxxxxxxxxxx>: Recipient address rejected:
unknown user', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number:
0x800CCC79

It's terrific that you can take the time out to help with these problems.
I've noticed you have helped a few people with various problems. Fingers
crossed you can help me and Jo with ours.

Much appreciated mate
Hendo

You left off the most important part of the error message. It should
look something like this:

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Test', Account:
'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I also have the same problem - can receive but can't send email. The reason
I'm given is as follows:

The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

I've been to my ISP and was not successful there, and I've also gone into my
account and ticked the 'authentication' box there but the problem is still
there.

If anyone can help us both, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Hendo

been struggling for long time.
I need an answer.
