What you are experiencing is actually quite normal. You are not
allowed to use a port 25 SMTP server that is on a different network
than the network providing your Internet connection. For more on
that policy, see http://www.postcastserver.com/help/Port_25_Blocking.aspx
While traveling, it is best to use webmail for sending.
The only other option is to get a Gmail account, because the Gmail
SMTP server uses port 465, which is not blocked.

Help suggests that it could be smtp (outgoing email)server that's not recognized. Any ideas on how to resolve after hours and out of state? I can receive mail but sent messages are stuck in outbox..
