hi guys,
I'm desperately trying my hardest to get vista going. So far I've had
nothing but trouble. For example, I got the whole system working - then
it decided to update itself (& my sata drivers) and screwed itself up,
had to completely format cos it couldn't repair itself!
Anyhow, one of my current gripes is.... when I install live mail (Cos
M$ now insists we use a million programs just for email!) how do i stop
it reading my 30+ business email accounts in Windows Mail, Outlook etc
???
Oh - and how do you stop it scanning all 2TB of data on your machine
for "other windows live crap"? It takes 30 minutes to install a tiny
10mb file or so, cos its so busy scanning all my data! WTF?
Thanks for any help, i really want to like this OS but I'm finding it
really difficult to do so.

You'll probably get help for Windows Live Mail faster if you ask in
newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
Windows Live is an entire family of programs, not just one program.
Apparantly, it was looking to see if you had any of the others installed,
even if they weren't installed at the usual place. Hopefully, doing that
scan once is enough.
