most windows os are designed to install with US keyboard unless you
specifically get the appropriate non English version
However if remember correctly, vista ultimate does prompt you sometime for
keyboard

Ok. Well today when I got off work, all my parts were waiting for me.
I spent a few hours putting them together and everything booted up right
on the first try. I formatted the 500GB drive and put XP pro 64 on it.
Then I installed all the drivers without any trouble. And I couldn't
resist putting her to the test. XP 64 is completely up and running less
than 1 minute after I press the power button. I opened up 20 firefox
windows while installing photoshop cs4 and running 2 monitors at high
res.
I formatted the 1TB drive and installed Vista ultimate 64. Vista
was nice enough to automatically setup dual booting for me. The one
issue I did have with the vista setup is that the keyboard is stuck as
qwerty all the way through the setup process. I only had a dvarok
keyboard, so I had to go back afterward and change crap around once I
was able to get into the desktop and control panel. I also got some
weird error at the end of the installation with a whole bunch of hex
code and it said something about a disk not being in the drive. I just
clicked cancel and everything seems fine. It just seems like a bad way
to start my vista experience (with an error).
