Hey Malke!.. thank you very much!..i do have one more question
though..will the hard drive be expensive? and the thing is i don't live
in the US is the same sony procedure for me too?...

i tried the restore disk set..could 'formatting' the computer fix it?
they just wanna be able to use it again..no matter what they will lose

If the restore DVD did not work
than you will need to send the unit in for repair.
It could be a bad harddrive or a RAM problem

Hi guys! im completely desperate!

4 hours ago my sisters told me that the computer they were using
(sony
vaio with windows vista home premium) just froze and asked them if
they
wanted to restart. they clicked yes and after that they couldnt get
vista to load. i researched and downloaded the restore ISO (cause the
computer didnt came with a cd) and i restored it 2 times (the first 2
didnt show an OS) up until the 3rd one i got the msg. and after that
i
stil cant get vista to load propertly not even on safe mode and in
any
of the options left.

when i load the ISO and clicked on restore the last time. well it
told
me they couldnt fixed it manually and now i get the green bar and
microsoft corporation logo for hours. and it doesnt load..can you
help
me ....please!!!? > > It sounds like your sister's hard drive has
died. Other hardware
components
could also be involved but the hard drive would be the first suspect.
Your
sister should call Sony tech support. While she has them on the
phone, she
should also order a replacement restore disk set. This is very
inexpensive.
If the computer is out of warranty, your sister should take the
computer to
a qualified local computer tech (not a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad
type of
place) and have them replace the hard drive. It will still be smart
for her
to order the restore disk set from Sony.
