Please let us know if it fixed the problem.
Paul, did the RESTORE this morning and applied the fix. It worked like a charm. And guys like me really appreciate the script that you provided (rather than having to dork around in the Registry ourselves).
Thanks again.

"Dave Lee" <DaveLeeNC@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:eMWEi4IPJHA.1164@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxThis is possibly related to a recent "System Restore" event that I had to do - but maybe not.
I used to have several very useful notification icons in the Taskbar, Notification Area, or System Tray (not sure which is the right name) that was in the lower right hand corner of my Vista Home Premium system (Dell XPS 1530 laptop). This is where the Clock is, etc.
Recently (shortly, but not immediately) after a system restore to resolve some undiagnosed system problems, the following icons disappeared
-Windows Power Meter
-Windows Volume Control
-Windows (I think) Wireless Activity/Status Indicator
-"Safely Remove Hardware" thingey
When I go into properties on the taskbar and look at "System Icons" under the "Notification Area" tab, Volume, Network, and Power are greyed out (Clock is there and checked and I do still have my clock).
How do I go about recovering these? And getting my Hardware Eject icon would also be very helpful.
Thanks.
