Re: upgrade from Vista ultimate x32 to x64

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Do make sure you have all the drivers for your hardware and software available. The software will require that you get 64-bit versions. Check to see that any programs you really need and don't want to replace will run on 64-bit. Most will, but there are exceptions.
Since you have both versions, you can always reinstall the 32-bit version if you find that you have real problems, but properly planned you will find the 64-bit version very stable.

I have a 64bit pc that came with 32 bit vista installed on it. I have
purchessed the Vista ultimate 64bit and I would like to upgrade. I need
a little help with the process of not loseing any of me personal files
ect. ..
I have ran the "Back up file" program in vista and saved it to my
external HD... I did not use the "Easy File Transfer", I used the Back
up files option. I can see all of my backed up data on my External HD.
Is that all I need to do before I proceed with the "clean install" of
x64 so that I do not loose any of my info? Please help I have been
reseacrching and tring to do this for days..
