My answer was based on what you posted as your Desktop. Dell Vostro 200 Desktop is a 32 bit enabled system

I have Vista Ultimate that I want to install to the following machine:
Dell Vostro 200 Desktop
Core 2 Duo 2.33Ghz processor
4Gb memory
80Gb hard drive
256MB ATI Radeon 2400 XT video card
I disable all the integrated cards of network and sound.
The installation completes successfully without problems but it only
install 32 bit.
How can I get 64 bit to install?
