Weird. I get the same thing on Ultimate. It does fine on XPSP3.
I uninstalled the existing version, rebooted, then installed the SP1
version. A couple of times it looked like it had stalled, but it finished
installing. When I ran it, my existing VPCs were there already.
It looks like it is fighting Vista to replace some file somewhere, but I
haven't been able to tell which one. I wouldn't suggest clicking "Ignore".
It shouldn't be like this, but, there you go.

I have Vista Business SP1, with Virtual PC 2007 already installed.
I'm trying to upgrade to Virtual PC 2007 SP1, and I can't get rid of this
pre-install validation error:
Files in Use
Some files that need to be updated are currently in use.
...applications using files...: Windows Explorer
The process ID listed is for the Explorer instance that is my desktop +
taskbar. Killing that process kills the UI.
I'm not running Virtual PC at the time. Everything is shut down. Even if
I
run setup.exe off my desktop right after a reboot with nothing running, no
dice.
I searched the Net and can't find any mention of this problem.
