thanks for the tip. I was hoping that my Vista would still work with
his but I guess not then.
I made him buy another printer (this will be the third printer) to see
if by some chance that gets things going.
Could it be a hardware issue with the intel chipset and certain USB
chips??
here's a quick run down:
Bought his laptop with a Dell printer... that printer ran fine until it
stopped pulling paper correctly so he bought an Epison printer... that
started the whole "Device Not Recognized"... he then took that back and
got a Canon... I've been fighting with that one now. I just had him
pickup an HP printer and am about to try that... I'll report back if
that works.
BTW, all the USB ports have been tried with mice, memory sticks, etc
and work just fine... it seems to just be printers for some reason.
